Description

This 3-Channel 4-20mA current loop receiver is an ideal companion for monitoring industrial sensors over long distances. This I2C Mini Module converts a 4-20 mA current loop to a 16-Bit value using the ADS1115 Analog to Digital Converter. This design includes the INA196 current shunt monitoring chip from Texas Instruments.  This I2C Mini Module operates with 5V, like all Mini-Modules. This device includes a voltage boost circuit to raise the 5V input to 16V for powering the INA196 current shunt monitoring chip.

This I2C Mini Module is ideal for 4-20mA current loop monitoring for Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Onion Omega, Particle, WiPy, and more. Compatible with all devices with an I2C interface port. If you are looking for a USB 4-20 mA converter, simply use this device connected to our UI2C USB interface adapter.

Mini Modules

Our mini modules provide a standardized footprint to simplify the design of your project, and allow for a smaller form factor without sacrificing the plug-and-play  ease of use that our product line affords.

All I²C Mini Modules are designed to operate at 5VDC. Using a convenient quick connect 4-Pin plug, devices can be daisy-chained onto the I²C Bus, eliminating the need for soldering. Simply plug together the devices you need for your next automation application.

Pull-up resistors are included with all ControlEverything.com master devices. If you are wiring in your own I²C port, on-board 4.7K jumper-selectable pull-up resistors are available for convenience purposes.

All mini modules are 50.8 x 31.75 mm.
