The MCP9600 is a fully integrated thermocouple Electromotive Force (EMF) to degree Celsius converter, with integrated Cold-Junction compensation. This MCP9600 Mini Module offers a convenient I2C interface for cross-platform compatibility and a K-Type thermocouple connector, compatible with all K-Type thermocouples. The MCP9600 provides user-programmable registers, adding design flexibility for various temperature sensing applications. The registers allow user-selectable settings, an adjustable digital filter for fast transient temperatures, and four individually programmable temperature alert outputs, which can be used to detect multiple temperature zones.
The MCP9600 includes one 5SRTC-TT-K-24-36 from Omega.com K-Type thermocouple with a 44" 24 AWG connection cable, rated for temperature measurement applications up to 220°C (425°F) with ±1.5°C accuracy. Up to 8 MCP9600 thermocouples may be chained together on a single I2C interface bus.
This is a general purpose I²C device compatible with all computing platforms and IoT technologies, including Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, Arduino, Particle, BridgeX5, and many more. All ControlEverything.com devices support a strict +5V I²C Bus standard.
