Description

Detect knocks or vibration in your next security/automation project with this plug in solution.

The included Piezo sensor easily mounts to any flat surface for detecting vibration.  Apply it to a window, door, desk, wall, you name it.  As long as the surface is flat it will mount.

Connect the Piezo to the ADC mini module, then connect it to the platform of your choosing(Pi, Arduino, Particle, Omega Onion, etc) using the included I2C cable.  Why buy a platform specific device elsewhere when this will connect to any of those favorite platforms in your desk drawer.  Just purchase an extremely low cost platform to I2C adapter for each platform you wish to use.

Monitoring of the signal is extremely fast through the ADC121C021 ADC chip.  Take up to 188.9K samples per second.  Readings more than fast and accurate at 12Bits for monitoring this Piezo sensor.

Mini Modules

Our mini modules provide a standardized footprint to simplify the design of your project, and allow for a smaller form factor without sacrificing the plug-and-play  ease of use that our product line affords.

All I²C Mini Modules are designed to operate at 5VDC. Using a convenient quick connect 4-Pin plug, devices can be daisy-chained onto the I²C Bus, eliminating the need for soldering. Simply plug together the devices you need for your next automation application.

Pull-up resistors are included with all ControlEverything.com master devices. If you are wiring in your own I²C port, on-board 4.7K jumper-selectable pull-up resistors are available for convenience purposes.

All mini modules are 50.8 x 31.75 mm.
